Visit Reason
The Division of Health Service Regulation conducted a Biennial Survey at Avendelle Assisted Living at Shepherds Vineyard to assess compliance with the 2005 Rules 10A NCAC 13G for Family Care Homes and the 2012 North Carolina State Building Code for Small Non-Ambulatory Care Facilities.
Findings
Multiple deficiencies were cited including missing fire drill logs, inaccessible fire alarm control panel, lack of monthly fire extinguisher checks, improper door locks, dirty range hood and air return filters, malfunctioning GFCI receptacle, door latch issues, missing receptacle cover, locked crawl space door, and unauthorized cameras in resident bedrooms.
