Visit Reason
The Adult Care Licensure Section conducted an initial survey of the facility on November 8, 2017, to assess compliance with state regulations for medication aide training and competency.
Findings
The facility failed to ensure that one of three sampled Medication Aides (Staff C) had passed the State Medication Aide exam within 60 days after being validated to pass medications and completing a Medication Clinical Skills Checklist. Staff C continued to administer medications for almost one month past the deadline, placing residents at risk and constituting a Type B Violation.
