The community also has a distinguished library, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and beautifully manicured grounds with a community garden. The community is between Rossmoor and downtown Walnut Creek, just 30 miles from San Francisco.

Byron Park, a 151‑bed assisted‑living facility in Walnut Creek, has undergone a series of unannounced licensing evaluations by the California Department of Social Services since late 2022. The initial pre‑licensing inspection on 27 December 2022 identified a deficiency with fire extinguishers that did not meet California’s safety standards.
