Visit Reason
The Office of the State Fire Marshal conducted a fire safety inspection at Chuckanut Ridge Assisted Living to assess compliance with fire protection and safety codes.
Findings
The inspection found multiple deficiencies including lack of documentation for semi-annual hood cleanings, annual kitchen suppression system servicing, quarterly sprinkler system inspections, monthly smoke and carbon monoxide alarm testing, and annual emergency generator servicing. Several fire safety equipment issues were corrected, but some violations remain, such as improper use of power strips and extension cords, and fire extinguishers mounted too high or lacking required maintenance.
