The Department of Social and Health Services completed a follow-up visit at Fountain Court Assisted Living to verify correction of previously cited deficiencies.
Findings
The facility was cited for multiple uncorrected violations including failure to obtain family medication assistance agreements, incomplete staff training, lack of tuberculosis screening for staff, missing veterinarian records for pets, and failure to provide residents with private telephone access. Civil fines totaling $1,600 were imposed based on these violations.

Visit Reason
An unannounced Fire and Life Safety Code inspection was conducted at Fountain Court Assisted Living by a representative of the Washington State Patrol, State Fire Marshal's Office to determine compliance with all applicable codes.
Findings
Multiple deficiencies were cited related to fire and life safety code violations including improper use of power strips, lack of records for annual fire wall inspections and repairs, fire door malfunctions, missing documentation for fire/smoke damper testing, missing sprinkler reports, inadequate fire extinguisher maintenance, missing carbon monoxide detector testing documentation, non-illuminated exit signs, missing emergency power system components, and sprinkler head issues.
