Visit Reason
An unannounced visit was made to Four Corners Rest Home Inc on November 30, 2022 by representatives of the Facility Licensing and Investigations Section of the Department of Public Health for the purpose of conducting a licensure inspection.
Findings
The facility was found to have violations including failure to ensure narcotic medications were stored in a double locked system and failure to comply with fire safety codes regarding the use of extension cords and appliance wiring.

Description
Failure to ensure narcotic medications were stored in a double locked system; an unlocked box containing controlled medications was found inside a locked file cabinet.
Use of extension cords as substitutes for permanent wiring in multiple rooms, not in compliance with NFPA 1 section 11.1.3.2.
A small refrigerator was plugged into a relocatable power tap instead of a permanently installed receptacle, violating fire safety codes.
