Inspection Reports for Poway Gardens Senior Living

An unannounced required annual inspection was conducted to review the facility's compliance with licensing requirements and ensure the health and safety of residents.

The facility was found to be sanitary and in good repair with no immediate safety hazards. Resident rooms and common areas met requirements, food and medication storage were appropriate, emergency equipment and drills were up to date, and employee files were complete with current certifications.

The visit was a pre-licensing inspection to observe the physical plant for compliance with Title 22, Division 6 of the California Code of Regulations and Health & Safety codes.

The facility was found to be compliant with regulations, including resident accommodations, safety features, staff and resident records, food supplies, and emergency preparedness. Fire clearance was received and the facility is ready for licensure pending program manager approval.

The visit was conducted as part of the Component II (COMP II) evaluation for original licensing of the facility, including verification of the applicant/administrator's understanding of community care facility licensing laws and readiness for pre-licensing.

The Component II completion was successful. The applicant/administrator demonstrated understanding of facility operation, admission policies, staffing requirements, restrictive health conditions, general provisions, emergency preparedness, complaints and reporting, and pre-licensing readiness.
