Overview of Rosewood Villa

Rosewood Villa is a retirement living care home that was opened on July 4, 1988, by Mrs. Watson, the proprietor, who has over 40 years of experience working with the elderly in both hospitals and care homes. The retirement living facility is managed by Lesley Hadaway, who began working at Rosewood Villa in 2002 and has gained many qualifications, including NVQ level 4 in Care and an NVQ assessor’s award. Mrs. Watson and Lesley are supported by a caring team who are also undergoing constant training.

Rosewood Villa prides itself on providing a “homely” and caring environment, with 13 single bedrooms and 2 shared bedrooms over both ground and first floors. All rooms provide lockable facilities for personal possessions, and some bedrooms have private telephone lines installed. The retirement living facility has communal lounges on the ground floor, including the main lounge and conservatory, where the activity area is now incorporated and enjoyed by all residents. Rosewood Villa is a non-smoking home and prides itself on its dining room, where residents enjoy freshly prepared, home-cooked meals. The retirement living facility has extensive gardens at the front, overlooking beautiful views of Tyne Valley, and a seated garden area at the back. Rosewood Villa offers a full social activities programme, including bingo, dominoes, sing-a-longs, arts & crafts, and exercise sessions, as well as occasional excursions and celebrations of birthdays and other social events.
