The inspection was conducted as a complaint investigation (Complaint #: NJ 00142020) following a Reportable Event Report regarding a resident found on the floor.
Findings
The facility failed to enforce and implement its Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) policy for one resident who was found unresponsive on the floor. Staff did not initiate CPR or use the AED until emergency services arrived, despite the resident being a Full Code without a Do Not Resuscitate order.

Staff were instructed by the Resident Care Director not to touch the resident until 911 arrived. The resident was pronounced deceased by paramedics. The Medical Examiner confirmed the death was not suspicious.
