The inspection was conducted in response to an anonymous complaint alleging that the hot water was not functioning for approximately 24 hours and that the heat was not working for approximately two weeks at the end of April and beginning of May.

The investigation found that the hot water system was down for a few hours in May due to a malfunctioning pump switch relay which was promptly repaired, resulting in no violation. However, the heating system was down for approximately two weeks due to a cracked pipe and the facility did not maintain adequate temperature logs or documentation to ensure room temperatures were maintained at a safe level, resulting in a violation being established.
