The inspection was conducted as a renewal licensing study to evaluate compliance with state regulations and determine if the facility's license should be renewed.
Findings
The facility was found to be in non-compliance with multiple rules including failure to report incidents and accidents to the department, improper regulation of hot water temperatures, unlabeled food items in kitchenettes, and unsafe storage of hazardous materials. The visit was conducted to review and approve an application to increase the licensed capacity of the home for the aged (HFA) by adding an additional licensed bed to 14 rooms to allow for double occupancy, increasing the licensed capacity to 56 beds.
Findings
The facility was found to have sufficient day/dining space exceeding the required square footage for 56 beds, and rooms identified for increased beds met space and window glass area requirements. The facility also has adequate toilet and bathing facilities to support the increased capacity.
