The inspection was a full, unannounced renewal inspection conducted on 08/06/2024 to review compliance with licensing requirements.

Findings
The facility was found to have deficiencies related to the annual fire safety inspection and fire drill, staff diabetic education training, and documentation of hospice services in a resident's support plan. All deficiencies had plans of correction accepted and were implemented by October 21, 2024.

The inspection was conducted as a renewal visit to assess compliance with licensing requirements at THE VILLAGE AT MORRISONS COVE.

Findings
The submitted plan of correction was determined to be fully implemented. Deficiencies were identified related to lint removal in dryers, fire safety inspection and drill, preadmission screening form accuracy, and mobility assessment documentation, all of which had corrective plans accepted and implemented.

Lint was found in the lint trap and a thick layer of dryer lint film behind the lint trap in the second floor laundry room dryer.
The home had not had an observed fire drill conducted by a fire safety expert since 2019.

Preadmission screening form for Resident 2 had a blank section regarding the ability to self-administer medication.
