Visit Reason
An initial Medicare certification survey and an initial Life Safety Code Survey were conducted by the New Jersey Department of Health to assess compliance with Medicare/Medicaid requirements and Life Safety Code standards for Carepoint Health - Bayonne Hospital Center TCU.
Findings
The facility was found to be in substantial compliance with 42 CFR 483 subpart B for long term care facilities. However, the facility was found to be in noncompliance with Life Safety Code requirements due to failure to install sprinklers in stairwells as required by NFPA 101 and NFPA 13 standards.
