Located in a safe and quiet neighborhood in South Brooklyn and right next to the D train (18th Ave station), Bensonhurst Center for Rehabilitation & Healthcare is a faith-based boutique recovery and skilled nursing center serving the diverse Brooklyn since 1974. Through the years Bensonhurst Canter has built a stellar reputation for its quality of care and excellence in complex care management and physical rehabilitation; with the unique ability to serve people from multi-cultural backgrounds. Their staff speaks Russian Cantonese/Mandarin and Hebrew, reflecting the cultural mix of the
neighborhood.
Masterfully skilled at stroke and post-surgical care, their highly experienced team of physical therapists works with each resident up to 7 days a week to improve strength and restore function through the use of therapeutic exercises. In addition, the rehabilitation program puts special emphasis on “pain management” so that each resident can maximize their potential in a comfortable, safe and cozy manner. The occupational therapy program is aimed at improving fine motor, coordination, and cognitive skills and teaches functional and self-care skills commonly referred to as activities of daily living (ADL), which include feeding, dressing, and grooming.
They employ a diverse and dedicated nursing team that speaks many languages to serve the growing immigrant needs, with certified wound care on-site. And the recreation department is one of the best in the business.
Bensonhurst Center offers a variety of skilled nursing care such as IV therapy, PICC line therapy, wound care/wound vac, post-surgery care, and more. The caring social work and case management team provide continuous support to both the residents and their families to ensure their well-being, and a safe
and appropriate return to the community.
Served by a dedicated and hard-working healthcare concierge team, Bensonhurst Center was voted the famed “Best of Brooklyn” under both nursing home and rehabilitation center categories in 2023, and the United Chinese Association of Brooklyn named it “Nursing Home of the Year” in 2022. Bensonhurst Center is being recognized as a “Best in Skill Nursing” by Assisted Living Magazine.
