Bishop Place Senior Living was inspected on January 25, 2024, where it was found that employees had not been fit tested prior to entering resident rooms with COVID-19, violating WAC 388-78A-2730. A follow-up inspection on March 7, 2024, identified additional deficiencies, including the failure to provide hot water to kitchen sinks, which posed a risk for cross-contamination, as well as inadequate water temperature for the kitchen dishwasher, compromising dish sterilization. The facility's hot water heater had been out of service since November 2023. The follow-up inspection confirmed that these deficiencies had been addressed. Subsequent inspections revealed ongoing fire safety violations, including issues with fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, and the maintenance of fire extinguishing systems, which were noted as disapproved.
