Inspection History
Inspection Report Summary for Claremont Place
The California Department of Social Services Community Care Licensing Division conducted an announced pre‑licensing visit to Claremont Place on 19 November 2024. The inspection, carried out by Licensing Program Analyst Kimberly Ramirez, covered all critical areas of operation, including the physical plant, resident rooms, food service, infection control, personnel training, and disaster preparedness. Throughout the evaluation, facility representatives Christina Harris and Wellness Director Thwe San participated, and the evaluation concluded with an exit interview and a signed copy of the report.
Observations indicated that the facility met all required standards for safety and resident care. The physical environment was free of hazards; disinfectants and other potentially dangerous items were stored out of resident reach, and carbon monoxide detectors and smoke alarms were present throughout the building. Resident rooms were adequately furnished, had functional grab bars, no‑slip mats, and water temperatures within safe limits. Food storage and preparation areas complied with temperature controls and cleanliness requirements, and the kitchen maintained adequate supplies of non‑perishable and perishable items. The facility also displayed required informational postings, provided internet access, and maintained an up‑to‑date emergency disaster plan with clearly marked exits.
Infection control practices appeared robust, with staff using gloves, performing hand hygiene, and disinfecting high‑touch surfaces regularly. An Infection Control Plan was in place, and all four staff records reviewed contained up‑to‑date CPR, first‑aid, TB testing, health screenings, fingerprint clearance, and job applications. The facility’s records demonstrated adherence to COMP III and other regulatory training requirements.
No deficiencies were identified during the pre‑licensing assessment, and the Licensing Program Analyst confirmed that the facility is ready for licensure. The report, signed by the evaluator and the facility representative, will remain available for public review for three years, as required by the California Department of Social Services. Claremont Place is therefore poised to receive its license, having met all regulatory criteria for safe and compliant resident care.
