Complaint Details
The visit was complaint-related, investigating allegations of inadequate oral care for a dependent resident and improper medication storage. The findings substantiated the complaints with identified deficiencies.
Findings
The facility failed to ensure one resident (R28) received adequate oral care as ordered, resulting in dry, cracked lips with peeling skin. Additionally, the facility failed to store all drugs and biologicals under proper temperature control, with two vials of Tuberculin PPD stored improperly in the door of a medication refrigerator.
