Visit Reason
The inspection was conducted as a renewal licensing study to evaluate compliance with applicable rules and regulations for license renewal of The Jackson Friendly Home.
Findings
The facility was found to be non-compliant with medication management rules related to as-needed medication orders and documentation, and the laundry room lacked sufficient ventilation and separate storage for soiled linens. Visit Reason
The visit was conducted as an addendum to the Original Licensing Study Report to review and approve physical plant changes including a new exterior wood deck and ramp, new elevator, enclosed fire stair escape, window replacement with a door, whole-home generator, and fire alarm and electrical upgrades.
Findings
The facility's physical plant changes have been completed and approved by the Bureau of Fire Services and Health Facilities Evaluation Section. The previous elevator has been decommissioned. It is recommended that the license status remain unchanged.
