Inspection Report Summary for JM’s Residential Care Home

The California Department of Social Services Community Care Licensing Division conducted an unannounced pre‑licensing inspection of JM'S RESIDENTIAL CARE HOME (Facility Number 565850609) on 12/30/2024. The visit, led by Licensing Program Analyst Martha Arroyo, was part of a Change of Location (CHOL) application submitted by Director Rodolfo Ohide. At the time of the inspection the facility was unoccupied and comprised a single‑story home licensed for a maximum of six non‑ambulatory residents.

The inspector evaluated fire safety, resident accommodations, food service, and overall facility condition. All hard‑wired smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors tested successfully, and the most recent fire extinguisher servicing was dated 01/22/2024. The four resident bedrooms, two designated single and two double, were furnished with clean bedding and adequate lighting, while two resident bathrooms featured non‑skid surfaces, grab bars, and sufficient hot‑water temperature. The kitchen met food‑service standards, with seven days’ supply of non‑perishables, properly stored knives, and a locked cabinet for medications and records. Common areas, dining tables, and the covered outdoor space were clean, well furnished, and compliant with Title 22 regulations, including required postings and emergency exit signage. No safety hazards, firearms, or water bodies were present on the premises.

No deficiencies were identified, and the facility’s physical plant was deemed fully compliant with regulatory requirements. The application will be forwarded to the Centralized Application Bureau for final review. Rodolfo Ohide received a copy of the report and was advised that operations may not commence until CAB approval is received. The inspection concluded with no concerns, and the facility is positioned for licensing approval pending the CAB’s decision.
