I have been a resident at Lakeview Pointe-Rowlett for two years. First I'll mention repairs and maintenance then office and lease renewal. Delays on getting repairs done, when I first moved into the apartment I didn't have an A/C vent in my bedroom. Maintenance man said they covered it up with Sheetrock. After making a 2' square hole, he said since it was just a duct and he would have to get a vent from the contractor. It took 3 weeks. The lack of maintenance of landscape around the buildings, lights on the backside of buildings, lack of maintaining the hallways (note) they used to clean the light fixtures and actually clean the elevators. Now it's not uncommon for the elevators not to work properly and none of the cleaning is done anymore. Now the ceiling on the first floor near the elevators is falling down. It took 4 months for a refrigerator light switch ( finally brought another frig from another apartment but the doors opened from the wrong side-they said they would come back the next day*Nope!) Washer quit two days ago with a Loc on screen and initial note said it would be done today. No one has been by yet (3:00). Note: Maintenance fixed the problem 6 days after initial problem reported. Lease Renewal - I was given a quote and I agreed to it (verbally). Due to office personnel changes and time for new person to catch up (1month), I asked about my new lease. I was told she would get it done. She called after 9 days and told me it was $160 more than what I was quoted. I produced the original quote and I was told a mistake was made. I offered to sign a lease for the amount of my previous lease and after checking with Rise Management my offer was turned down. Here's the kicker- Lakeview Pointe is offering 2 months free on a 14 month lease. If I signed a lease for 14 months at the offered amount-the net profit from my offer would be $160 more! It's your choice-do you want this treatment from your new apartment and Management company??
