Drawbacks
The G4 has a few limitations compared to the G5. It has a shorter battery life, maxing out under 3 hours on a single battery and up to 5 hours on a double battery. It also offers fewer oxygen flow settings (1–3) than the G5 (1–6), limiting the amount of customization available.
The G4 is not water-resistant, although it can withstand light rain briefly when transferring between locations. Inogen recommends using the carrying bag for added protection and avoiding extreme temperatures below 41˚F or above 95˚F, as this can impact battery performance.
Inogen Connect App
The G4 supports the Inogen Connect App, which allows you to monitor your machine from a smartphone or tablet. The app displays:
