I cannot say enough good things about Sendero Senior Living. Entrusting the care of your mother to others is never easy, especially when you live far away. I live in the United States and travel back and forth to Puerto Rico several times a year to see my mother, so finding a place where she feels safe, cared for, understood, and genuinely happy has meant everything to me. The staff is incredibly kind, compassionate, attentive and professional. They truly care about the residents, and it shows in the way they speak to them, care for them and create a warm environment that feels dignified and human. The meals a traditional Puerto Rican Cuisine which my mother loves. The culture and activities have made a a difference in her emotional well being. They celebrate holidays, create activities and they also have several beautiful patios where residents can enjoy fresh air, sunshine, conversation or simply enjoy the outdoors. As difficult as it is to live far from my mother, the care she receives gives me peace of mind. In my opinion, it is absolutely worth the investment and every trip I make to the island to see her. I am deeply grateful for the love and care they continue to give my mother every day.What do you like most about living here? Answer: I don't live there my mother does. I can tell she loves the staff. Are there enough caregivers to handle the residents' needs, especially during emergencies? Answer: Yes How do you feel about the level of social interaction available with other residents? Answer: The level of social interaction available for residents is excellent. The residents genuinely interact with one another and appear comfortable in the environment. The facility has many residents, yet the space is designed in a way that feels calm, open, and appropriate rather than crowded. They have 3 beautiful patios and a lovely water fountain area where residents can walk, sit outside, relax and enjoy conversations with each other. It creates a warm and peaceful atmosphere that encourages both independence and social connection. How was the units offered in this community? Answer: The units offered in this community are private, comfortable, clean, well maintained and appropriate for the residents needs. The environment feels peaceful safe and welcoming. Do you feel safe living in this community? Answer: How well do you think the community handles emergencies or unexpected events? Answer: So far they have demonstrated competency when any unexpected emergency (medically related) has occurred. My mother has been there only 4 months. So far the care is professional and compassionate Are there any hidden fees or unexpected charges? Answer: Nothing hidden. They alert me in advance of a potential additional cost (e.g. When I have to hire an Aid or Nurse to be with my mother if she is inpatient in the hospital) Would you recommend this community to others looking for senior living options?
