Data Usage Policy

This policy explains what you may and may not do with content and data from assistedlivingmagazine.com and assists.com (the “Sites”), both operated by NHM Placeholder, LLC. It supplements our Terms of Service.
Our directory represents years of work compiling, correcting, verifying, and presenting information about senior living communities. Families rely on its accuracy. Protecting it is how we keep it trustworthy.
What You May Not Do
Without our prior written permission, you may not:
- Scrape, crawl, or copy any part of the Sites by automated means, including bots, crawlers, scrapers, browser extensions, or similar tools
- Systematically extract or reuse listings, community profiles, ratings, rankings, photos, pricing data, data tables, or other structured information, whether by automated or manual means
- Use content or data from the Sites to train, fine-tune, or ground artificial intelligence or machine learning models
- Republish, resell, or redistribute our content elsewhere, including in modified form or combined with other data
- Collect information about the Sites’ users, families, or the communities listed
- Create misleading or unauthorized profiles or listings using information from the Sites
What You May Do
- Link to any page on the Sites
- Quote brief excerpts with attribution and a link, for example, in news coverage or research
- Reference our published rankings or findings with credit to Assisted Living Magazine
- Use content where we have given you explicit written authorization
A Note on Government Data
Some facility information on the Sites is derived from public government datasets (such as CMS data). We claim no ownership of underlying government records. What this policy protects is our compilation: our corrections, enrichments, rankings, analysis, photography, editorial content, and the structure and presentation of the Sites.
Licensing and Permissions
If you’d like to license our data or content — for research, journalism, or commercial use — we’re open to it. Email privacy@assistedlivingmagazine.com with a description of what you need and how it will be used.
Enforcement
We monitor for scraping and unauthorized reuse. Violations may result in blocked access, terminated service, and legal action, including claims under applicable computer fraud, copyright, and contract law. We reserve all rights and remedies.
