Inspection Report Summary for King‘s Care Assisted Living LLC

On May 27, 2025 the California Department of Social Services Community Care Licensing Division conducted a COMP II interview at VISTA Senior Living II LLC. The administrator, Shrikant Kakani, was verified through photo ID and confirmed a clear understanding of the California Code Title 22 Regulations, including licensing, admission, staffing, emergency preparedness, and complaints procedures. The interview, completed in 27 minutes, resulted in no identified deficiencies; the applicant signed the required LIC 809 form and acknowledged his licensing appeal rights.

A month later, on June 27, 2025, a pre‑licensing inspection was performed by Licensing Program Analyst Javina George. The two‑story, 11‑bedroom facility, with nine resident rooms and two staff rooms, met all structural and safety requirements: each bedroom had an exit door and a private bathroom with walk‑in showers and non‑skid mats, a fully charged sprinkler system, smoke/CO detectors, and fire extinguishers. The facility held a fire clearance from the Vista Fire Department (03/21/25) and a hospice waiver for eight residents. It was equipped with solar panels, a Tesla charger, and a battery backup, and maintained a valid liability insurance policy until 04/15/26. Medication and sharps were stored securely, and the food supply met regulatory adequacy for perishable and non‑perishable items. A first‑aid kit was observed to lack an approved manual, scissors, and tweezers; the applicant had already purchased a new kit during the inspection. All passageways were unobstructed, and residents had access to recreational activities.

The inspection concluded that the facility was ready for licensure, with Component III waived, and no deficiencies were cited. Across both visits, VISTA Senior Living II LLC demonstrated compliance with safety, staffing, and administrative requirements, and promptly addressed the minor first‑aid kit oversight. The reports show no patterns of non‑compliance or risks to resident health and safety, indicating a well‑managed residential care environment.
