On-site annual compliance inspection of an Assisted Living Home conducted on March 12, 2024.
Findings
Six deficiencies were found related to policy review, caregiver training documentation, medication administration authorization, medication storage security, disaster drill frequency, and oxygen container safety.

The manager failed to ensure policies and procedures were reviewed at least once every three years and updated as needed, with the most recent documented review dated January 7, 2021.
The manager failed to ensure a caregiver provided current documentation of first aid and CPR training before providing assisted living services, as one caregiver's training documentation was expired.
The manager failed to ensure medication was administered to a resident under the direction of a medical practitioner, as caregivers administered medications without proper authorization.
The manager failed to ensure medications were stored in a locked room, closet, cabinet, or self-contained unit; medications were stored in an unlocked cabinet with the key in the keyhole.
The manager failed to ensure employee disaster drills were conducted on each shift at least once every three months and documented, with drills missing for some shifts.
The manager failed to ensure oxygen containers were secured in an upright position, posing a risk of explosion or gas leak.
