Medication administered orally instead of nebulizer: established. Inadequate medication administration training: established.

Two violations of R 400.14312 Resident medications were established related to improper medication administration and inadequate training of direct care staff.

R 400.14312 Resident medications (2) Medication shall be given, taken, or applied pursuant to label instructions: direct care staff member Tessa Myers administered albuterol orally to Resident A and Resident B instead of via nebulizer as prescribed.
R 400.14312 Resident medications (4)(a) Be trained in the proper handling and administration of medication: Ms. Myers was not adequately trained in medication administration before the error occurred on 08/15/2025.
