Visit Reason
The inspection was a biennial survey to assess compliance with the Regulations Governing the Licensing and Functioning of Assisted Housing Programs: Level III.
Findings
The facility was found non-compliant in several areas including failure to have a signed standard contract for one resident, improper medication storage where external and internal medications were stored together, and failure to destroy expired medications within 60 calendar days.
Deficiencies (3)
One of two resident records did not contain a standard contract signed by the provider and the resident’s legal representative.
Medications for external use only were not kept separate from medications to be taken internally.
Expired medications were not destroyed within 60 calendar days as required.
