Operated by Merrill Gardens LLC, Truewood by Merrill, Georgetown is a 156-bed assisted living and memory care community in the Sun City, Texas neighborhood of Georgetown. Carissa Fawley serves as the administrator. The two-story community has studio and one-bedroom residences. It has been serving residents for 12 years.
The memory care program follows a Montessori-inspired approach that creates a familiar daily routine instead of a rigid schedule. The community includes 42 dedicated memory care units and holds an Alzheimer’s certification. Residents can transition between assisted living and memory care without moving to another community if their care needs change.

State inspections focused mainly on life safety systems, including fire alarm maintenance and testing, smoke detector inspections, sprinkler system compliance, and having a written fire alarm maintenance contract. Previous problems in these areas had been addressed prior to the community’s most recent inspection on record.
