Bountiful Care

3269 San Anseline Ave, Long Beach, CA 90808
Overview of Bountiful Care

Located at 3269 San Anseline Ave in Long Beach, California, Bountiful Care is a six-bed residential care community licensed by the state in April 2024. Malcolm E White operates the facility, which combines assisted living and nursing home services for seniors and disabled individuals. Staff provide round-the-clock care including medication oversight, meal preparation, personal assistance, housekeeping, laundry, and transportation. The community welcomes pets.

Since inception, Bountiful Care’s regulatory compliance record stands well above typical industry performance. Among California facilities, it recorded 80 percent fewer violations than the state average; only two minor infractions in nearly two years of operation.

The initial licensing phases (March and April 2024) documented zero deficiencies and validated compliance across physical plant, medication storage, safety systems, kitchen standards, resident records, and care protocols. An April 2025 annual inspection identified two purely administrative findings: absence of documented quarterly fire and earthquake drill records, and three fire extinguishers missing service certification tags.Neither citation reflects clinical care gaps or operational deficiency in direct resident services.

A complaint investigation in October 2025 examined allegations that a staff member had engaged in inappropriate physical contact during resident personal care. Investigators interviewed all four residents and staff members. Interview findings corroborated that the alleged conduct had not occurred; the complaint was deemed unfounded. The facility reported no enforcement sanctions, substantiated complaints, or serious harm citations since opening.

The current census is four residents within six available beds, representing 67 percent occupancy; just slightly below the California average of 72.8 percent but showing an upward trajectory since initial licensing.

Dietary accommodations, vital signs monitoring, and continence management are available. The small-scale setting provides close staff-to-resident interaction typical of intimate care communities.

Bountiful Care serves Long Beach-area residents and disabled individuals requiring residential care with nursing support, and its nascent compliance record reflects baseline regulatory adherence consistent with newly established providers in the market.

Frequently Asked Questions about Senior Communities in California

What is senior living?

Senior communities are residential settings designed for adults aged 55 or older, with options ranging from active independent living to assisted living and memory care.

How many senior communities are listed on this page?

This page features 2083 senior communities in California. Use the filters and comparison tools above to compare ratings, amenities, and pricing.

How do I choose the right senior community in California?

Start by matching the level of care offered to the resident's current and anticipated needs, then compare licensing status, staff-to-resident ratios, recent inspection results, and pricing. Tour at least two or three communities in California, talk to current residents and families, and confirm what is included in the base rate versus billed as add-on services.

What should I look for when visiting senior communities in California?

Pay attention to staff interactions with residents, cleanliness and odor, food quality at meal times, the activity calendar, and how questions about pricing and care plans are answered. Ask to see the most recent state inspection report, the move-out / level-of-care-change policy, and a sample monthly bill that lists every fee.
