Visit Reason
The Office of the State Fire Marshal conducted a scheduled fire protection inspection at the Eagle Springs SR Alzheimers Community facility.
Findings
The inspection identified multiple fire safety deficiencies, most of which were corrected on site. However, the facility's pull station for the kitchen suppression system was found damaged and remains uncorrected. The overall approval status is Disapproved.
Deficiencies (15)
IFC 310.7 2021 - Lighted matches, cigarettes, cigars, or other burning objects shall not be discarded in a manner that could cause ignition of other combustible material.
IFC 603.5 2021 - Relocatable power taps and current taps shall be constructed and used in accordance with NFPA 70 and this code.
IFC 606.3.3 2021 - Hoods, grease-removal devices, fans, ducts and other appurtenances shall be cleaned at required intervals.
IFC 606.4 2021 - Gas-fired commercial cooking appliances on casters must be connected to piping systems with compliant appliance connectors and limited movement by restraining devices.
IFC 701.6 2021 - The owner must maintain an inventory of required fire-resistance-rated construction and ensure annual inspection and repair of such construction.
