Visit Reason
The inspection was a biennial survey to assess compliance with the Regulations Governing the Licensing and Functioning of Assisted Housing Programs: Level III Residential Care Facilities and Infection Prevention and Control.
Findings
The facility was found non-compliant in medication administration records, emergency drills, and sanitation and safety standards. Specifically, medication administration records were incomplete for PRN medications, emergency drills were not conducted as required, and there was evidence of delayed maintenance and housekeeping.
Deficiencies (3)
Failed to ensure all medications ordered PRN were included on the Medication Administration Record (MAR) and failed to remove medications not on current PRN orders.
Failed to conduct at least six emergency drills per year with two conducted while residents were asleep.
Failed to show evidence of routine maintenance and housekeeping and timely repair of wear and tear, including bubbling and lifting flooring, loose heat vent, and wet areas around bathroom fixtures.
