I stayed here from January through mid-March. I was paired up with some really good people. Some of the nurses or C.N.A.’s I didn’t feel comfortable around, but more there I felt better with. My nurse on weekday mornings was Sammi and she was great and very helpful. I don’t like feeling like as burden and she never made me feel like I was wasting her time because it was hard for me to move in the beginning. My weekday C.N.A. was Marcus. I really liked Marcus he was very understanding of my wishes and he seemed happy to be working which is not something you usually see. He was always there when I needed assistance moving from the bed to my wheelchair and even offered words of encouragement when he saw me struggling with my mobility. My weekend nurse was Jacquie and she was amazing! She went beyond her nurses duty and helped me with other things and I appreciate all she did for me. My therapists were Colleen and Kristen. They pushed me during sessions which I think makes a good therapist. You need to be pushed to make any kind of improvement. They were always supportive and kind and instead of dreading therapy I seemed to look forward to it. My only complaints are the lack of therapy. I didn’t always understand why we only had an hour a day but I do know they had a lot of patients to see. Also, the food was awful. Thankfully my husband would bring me food daily but there were a few times I had to eat their food and it was always terrible. There were times I would just look at the food and get nauseous. I don’t know how they could improve it but it needs something. I would probably recommend this place to others and hopefully they get paired up some really great people as well. What do you like most about living here? Answer: The workers I mentioned in my comment and this may sound silly but the dining room area was a great place to get together. Are there enough caregivers to handle the residents' needs, especially during emergencies? Answer: No Are the common areas pleasant and comfortable for socializing or relaxing? Answer: Yes How would you rate the quality and variety of the meals? (1-5) Answer: 2 Are special diets handled well? Answer: No Is the dining schedule flexible enough to meet your preferences? Answer: Yes How do you feel about the level of social interaction available with other residents? Answer: How was the units offered in this community? Answer: I’m not sure if this is the right box for this comment but I think they need to discuss the shower schedule with the patients. No one told me that my room had a shower schedule and it took 2 weeks for me to get a shower because no one told me my schedule or that I needed to ask for it. Later they changed the schedule and didn’t tell me. They need better communication. Do you feel safe living in this community? Answer: Yes How well do you think the community handles emergencies or unexpected events? Answer: Are there any hidden fees or unexpected charges? Answer: Would you recommend this community to others looking for senior living options? Answer: I would. I’ve read other reviews so I know everybody might have a different experience but mine was okay. Is there anything you wish you knew before moving in? Answer: I wish I knew about the quality of the food. It was awful. I would voice my digust and every person I told agreed with me. I’m not sure anyone liked the food.
