Visit Reason
The inspection was an unannounced annual inspection conducted to evaluate compliance with licensing requirements for the Downey Christian Home facility.

Findings
The inspection found the facility generally compliant with regulations, but two Type A deficiencies were noted: insufficient 2-day perishable food supply for six residents and medication not locked in the refrigerator. Both deficiencies posed immediate health and safety risks but were corrected during the visit.

Visit Reason
A pre-licensing visit was conducted to evaluate the facility for initial licensing as a Residential Facility for the Elderly age range 60 and over.

Findings
The facility was toured and inspected, including common areas, resident bedrooms, restrooms, kitchen, and safety equipment. All areas were found clean, in good repair, and compliant with regulations. No outstanding or pending items requiring additional visits were observed.
