Dream Care Home Reviews

Vida Ilao
My brother, Viktor, has been living at Dream Home Care since January following his time in rehab, and as a family, we were desperately looking for a permanent, long-term placement where we could consistently visit him. Honestly, as an architect, I didn’t find Dream Home Care through standard research. I actually stumbled across it completely by chance while discussing plans and permits with Mona. When I mentioned I was searching for a long-term home for my brother, she recommended Dream Home Care, and luckily, they had just one bed available. It has been an absolute blessing. My brother doesn't miss home at all because he loves the care, the environment, and especially the food. Being in a Filipino-friendly environment provides him with a deep sense of familiarity and comfort that aligns perfectly with our cultural background. It gives our whole family peace of mind knowing he is in a safe, permanent, and welcoming place.

My only brother lives at Mona’s place, and I cannot express enough how truly grateful I am for the care he receives there. He is 74 years old and has been dealing with some health issues recently, including radiation treatment for prostate cancer. Mona and her team jumped right on it and handled everything that needed to be taken care of. He gets excellent medical attention, attends a daily workshop, and is being really well cared for. I live nearly 700 miles away near the Oregon border, so I can’t visit often. Even so, Mona and her family keep in close touch with me, which brings me incredible peace of mind. Mona, her husband, and her 31-year-old son take immense pride in what they do. Because it’s a small, 6-bed facility, they create a warm, genuine family atmosphere rather than an institutional one. When I spoke with my brother, he told me he has a good life there and feels happy. He’s safe, comfortable, has made a close friend among the residents, and everyone there really likes him. In today’s world, someone in my brother's position could easily slip through the cracks or end up on the street, but Mona’s team provides a safe, comfortable, and loving home. They are truly godsends who are making a real difference in people's lives. Knowing my brother is happy, safe, and well-cared for is as good as it gets.

We take immense pride in being true advocates for our residents, living by our motto: "Your family next to yours." For those without local family, we step in as their primary support system—seamlessly handling everything from daily fresh meals, housekeeping, and laundry to complex hospital logistics. To ensure complete well-being, we maintain strong medical connections, including an on-site primary care physician and staff psychologist. Nestled in a quiet, safe neighborhood, our stable home is licensed for just six residents, creating an intimate, family-like atmosphere. Our residents are alert, independent, and ambulatory. They stay highly engaged by attending a weekday adult day program for socialization, with door-to-door pickup and drop-off. We love celebrating their individuality, hosting backyard barbecues for holidays and cooking custom favorite meals, cakes, and balloons for birthdays. We are proud to provide a place they can truly call home.
Davy Cheng, Daughter
My father, David Cheng, has been with Dream Home Care for about five years now, and it has been a truly wonderful experience for him. He has stayed in different facilities before, but I can honestly say this is one of the best ones he has ever been in. Our hope is that he can stay here long-term. Because it has fewer residents, it doesn't feel crowded, and it feels much more like a real home to him. He is getting excellent care, and they keep him happily busy with plenty of activities. Every day, a transportation service picks him up to take him to local senior events, which he really enjoys. The staff also goes out of their way to make the residents feel special; they celebrate birthdays with a cake and put together nice dinners for holidays like Thanksgiving. Every time we visit—and we had family over to see him recently—the facility is always incredibly clean. The staff is exceptionally friendly and always responsive whenever we have questions or need anything. It is a massive relief to see him so well taken care of and genuinely happy. I highly recommend Dream Home Care.

After my family member was found unresponsive, severely dehydrated, and malnourished at a fast-food restaurant, he was hospitalized at UCI and went through rehab before we tried caring for him at home; however, his severe cognitive decline—including memory loss about his past in Boston and confusion over our mother's passing—combined with his financial dependence made the situation incredibly stressful for my husband and me. Placing him at Dream Care Home was the best decision we ever made, especially thanks to Mona, who patiently guided me through securing his insurance and navigating his minimal Social Security and disability income when other facilities would have turned him away. The staff goes above and beyond by keeping the facility spotless, providing engaging daily activities, managing and transporting him to all medical and dentist appointments, and immediately calling me with detailed updates afterward. They truly treat him with dignity and care, ensuring he gets regular haircuts and using his small stipend to buy him simple comforts like his favorite Dr. Pepper, giving us complete peace of mind knowing he is safe, clean, and genuinely happy
