The inspection was conducted as a complaint survey of the Life Care Center of Blount County facility from July 7, 2024 through July 10, 2024.
Complaint Details
The complaint investigation was substantiated based on evidence including care plans, event notes, facility investigation, and admissions by staff and the Executive Director regarding the abuse incident between Resident #14 and Resident #15.
Findings
The investigation confirmed that Resident #15 inappropriately touched Resident #14 while sleeping, constituting potential abuse. The facility admitted the incident and acknowledged violations of resident rights regulations.
