Overview of The Arbor Assisted Living

The Arbor Assisted Living & Memory Care is a senior community in Nacogdoches, Texas, offering assisted living, memory care, and respite care. Operated by PSL Arbor Operations LLC in Nacogdoches County, the community has a Type B license and is distinguished as the Best of Nacogdoches 2024. Its classification as a Type B community signifies a dedication to helping residents with moderate to significant daily support requirements, particularly with its 90-bed capacity.

The community has undergone two evaluations, resulting in a total of seven findings, which consist of four health-related and three safety-related citations. The clinical points, identified during a March 2023 inspection, involved property upkeep and pest management, such as flooring status and kitchen standards. However, all issues were resolved within a period of three to seven weeks. The safety findings, related to fire notification records and smoke sensor testing, were cited in early 2021 and fully corrected by March of that year. Notably, no administrative penalties have been filed against the community, which is a better record than the Texas state average of one enforcement action.

With a philosophy toward the wellness of older adults, local events, a focused culinary program, and spiritually centered activities, known as Fun, Faith, and Friends, are conducted. This feature helps this community stand out in the Nacogdoches region. With an Alzheimer’s certification, the inclusion of Alzheimer’s and dementia resources, along with temporary stay options, ensures that families have access to versatile support when needed.

With its specific certification for memory loss and award-winning reputation, The Arbor Assisted Living & Memory Care is an ideal match for older adults who require routine assistance or organized memory care in a setting that values community ties, spiritual principles, and active participation in East Texas.
