Overview of The Society House

The Society House provides assisted living in Livingston, New Jersey, with personal care and medication management to help residents manage daily needs. Staff are available around the clock, and a doctor on staff and rehabilitation services keep medical and recovery resources available through the residence. These features may make the community a good fit for someone who wants ongoing assistance alongside access to those resources.

Residents can choose a private room for personal space or a semi-private room if they are comfortable sharing with a companion. The on-site salon makes it possible to take care of grooming without leaving the community, while the library offers a dedicated place to read.

The Society House accepts Medicare. Medicare covers eligible short-term care following a hospital stay, not the cost of living in assisted living over the long term.

Robin Mazer
Verified Family Member of Current Resident
“I give it 5 (stars). I like Ed. And if there's anything wrong, he calls either me or my daughter.”

Summary of conversation

Robin is very happy with her family member's placement. She especially appreciates the private rooms, the included laundry service, and the dedicated smoking porch, which has been a good fit for his needs. She describes the staff as excellent and gave special credit to Ed, who manages the community and reaches out to her or her daughter right away when anything comes up. She also values that costs have stayed stable. Her one note is that there are fewer opportunities for social interaction among residents than she'd like. Overall, Robin says she would recommend the community to other families.
