Family Choice Adult Homes, LLC

Lyn Berghoffer
We are proud to be one of the top residential care facilities in Snohomish County. Since 2016, we have consistently received awards and recognitions, reflecting our ongoing commitment to excellence in resident care. These achievements are made possible by our dedicated staff, who go above and beyond to enhance the quality of life of our residents. From organizing restaurant outings and scenic joyrides to providing caregiver support wherever residents choose to go, our team is committed to helping residents remain active, engaged, and connected to their community. In June, we had the pleasure of taking our residents, staff, and some family members on a special outing to Ivar’s Mukilteo Landing twice! Together, we enjoyed a wonderful dinner by the waterfront, watched seals in their natural habitat, and experienced a beautiful ferry passing by as we shared an evening of fellowship and fun.

I’ve been living here for two years now, and I am highly satisfied with my experience in this community. The environment is wonderful, and the staff is incredibly friendly—they truly know how to handle all kinds of diverse situations with grace. On a personal note, having previously experienced a stroke, it means the world to me that I feel so well-cared for. The staff monitors my activities closely, which gives me immense peace of mind. I really couldn't ask for a better support system.

As a resident of four years, I can honestly say that while life here can sometimes have its awkward moments, the caregivers are absolutely wonderful. I love spending my days sitting on the porch in the sunshine, reading on my Kindle, or playing a game of solitaire. When it comes to the food, the blueberry pancakes are definitely my absolute favorite! Another thing I really appreciate is how clean the facility is—in fact, my visitors frequently comment on how pleasant the building smells the moment they walk through the door.

I’ve been a part of this community since 2018. Before moving here to the Family Choice facility, I was a musician back in Ohio, so music is a massive part of my life. I play the recorder, piano, and guitar, and I love that I've been able to keep that passion alive here. I still occasionally get to perform for the other residents during our community events! I was glad to share how much I enjoy bringing a little music to everyone here.

Count of regulatory inspections in the reporting window. Higher volume can reflect more oversight visits, complaint-driven surveys, or routine licensure cycles.

The average number of citations this facility receives each time it's inspected, calculated as total citations ÷ total inspections. A lower number suggests more consistent compliance with safety and care standards.
