One complaint (NV00066335) with one allegation was investigated and found to be unsubstantiated. The allegation involved the facility Administrator allegedly telling a resident they needed to be admitted to hospice care or find another group home, which was disproven based on interviews and record review.

The inspection was conducted as a complaint investigation triggered by Complaint #NV00063641 alleging physical abuse of a resident by an employee.

Complaint Details
One complaint was investigated with one allegation which was unsubstantiated after review of employee-resident interactions, resident and staff interviews, incident reports, facility policies, and employee training and background checks.
Findings
The complaint investigation found the allegation of physical abuse to be unsubstantiated based on observations, interviews, and record reviews. No regulatory deficiencies were identified and no further action was necessary.

The inspection was a focused COVID-19 infection control inspection combined with the State licensure annual survey conducted on 08/25/2020 to assess compliance with Nevada Administrative Code Chapter 449 for Residential Facility for Groups.

Findings
No deficiencies were identified during the inspection. The facility demonstrated compliance with infection control measures including screening, PPE use, social distancing, and sanitization protocols. Four staff members had tested positive for COVID-19 in late July, with two recovered and returned to work, and residents who tested positive were isolated or hospitalized as appropriate.
