Vista on 5th is a terrible, unprofessional facility that harmed my aunt during her year there. From upper management down, the staff are rude, careless, and unsympathetic. Director of Operations, Amanda, had no experience in elder care before this job—she managed a gym—yet she oversees a corrupt, dismissive system. My aunt was humiliated during physical therapy when therapist Sally stopped mid-session and said she “smelled” in front of others. Also witnessed a med-tech scream at her simply because she didn’t hear instructions. My reports were ignored. Worse, Vista prioritizes self-protection over residents’ well-being. Anyone who falls is sent to a hospital, then deemed “unfit” and served eviction papers. I saw this happen to my aunt and even a healthy 70-year-old man after a minor fall. Instead of providing care, they punish residents, leaving them anxious, fearful, and depressed. Vista on 5th fails its most basic duty: treating the elderly with dignity, compassion, respect.
