For more than 35 years, Alice Lorraine Care Center has provided assisted living services in the Frenchtown Charter Township area of Monroe, Michigan. Operated by A.L.C.C. Inc. and led by Executive Director Starlyn Lay, the single-story community accommodates up to 20 residents in private suites, creating a comfortable setting for older adults who value a smaller residential environment.
Support is available at all hours through on-site staff, while physician oversight includes both on-call availability and routine medical visits. Assistance with daily living is complemented by housekeeping, laundry, and trash removal services, helping residents maintain a simpler day-to-day routine.
Meals are prepared using locally sourced ingredients, and on-site beauty and barber services add convenience. Older adults can participate in a variety of scheduled activities, including crafts, gardening, cooking, exercise, and group singing, encouraging regular social engagement and recreation.
The community’s limited number of residents allows staff to become familiar with individual preferences and routines. Located in a largely car-dependent area of Monroe, most errands and family visits are best reached by vehicle.
