Markfield Retirement Village is an award-winning retirement community designed for individuals aged 55 and above. The village, managed by Weeke Management Ltd., consists of 123 one or two-bedroom bungalows and flats, surrounded by accessible countryside, public footpaths, conservation areas, and the historic Bradgate Park. Markfield itself offers convenient amenities, including a Co-operative supermarket, local shops, pubs, restaurants, hairdressers, a post office, and a GP medical center, as well as a frequent bus service to Leicester, Coalville, and Loughborough.
The Retirement Village has a well-supported social center with monthly events and daily activities such as short mat bowls, snooker, keep fit, and a popular coffee bar. The village also provides various services to make life easier for residents, including bus services, prescription delivery, a visiting chiropodist, a butcher delivery service, fortnightly egg delivery, a mobile fish and chip van, a library with books available to borrow or order, and a guest suite for visitors of residents.
