Holly Tree Lodge is a retirement living residential care home that opened in 1983 and has since benefited from two purpose-built modern extensions, incorporating ten en-suite bedrooms, a new kitchen, and a dining room. The retirement living facility is a large Victorian house set in pleasant gardens in a quiet Derby suburb and is owned by Mr K and Mr S Mann, with Miss Kate DiFrancesco as the manager. Holly Tree Lodge has amended its registration with The Care Quality Commission to become a dementia care home providing accommodation and care for older people.
The retirement living facility provides dementia care for people over the age of sixty-five who have been assessed as needing dementia care and will receive financial assistance through the care management system, or for people with dementia whose family accepts responsibility for the cost. Holly Tree Lodge is not a dementia nursing home and would be in breach of its registration to admit a resident in need of dementia nursing care. The retirement living facility offers a variety of services, including detailed and comprehensive care plans for each resident, medication administration, varied and nutritious meals, monthly morning services for all denominations, numerous in-house activities and games, outside entertainment, trips to local places of interest, and welcoming visitors at all times.
