  • BROOKDALE NORTHWEST HILLS underwent a comprehensive inspection on October 19, 2021, resulting in 9 total violations of state standards. Of these, 8 were classified as Life Safety Code deficiencies and 1 was not specified under the Health Code section. The Life Safety Code issues included multiple instances of non-compliance with NFPA 101, such as inadequate fire alarm and smoke detection systems, operable windows or powered exhaust in odor-producing rooms, and proper installation of portable extinguishers. Additionally, the facility failed to ensure an emergency generator was compliant with licensing standards and that exit doors had locking devices meeting Life Safety Code requirements. The Health Code section did not list any specific deficiencies. Correction dates for some of these issues ranged from June 28, 2019, to August 10, 2019. No enforcement actions were found in relation to this inspection.
