Our community is home to up to 70 residents, and we believe every person has a unique story worth knowing. Instead of expecting everyone to fit into the same daily activities, we take the time to learn who each resident is, what they’ve enjoyed throughout their life, and what brings them joy. We create a personalized social plan alongside their care plan so every resident feels known, welcomed, and at home.One story that perfectly captures this approach is Fran and Sam’s. After Fran experienced a fall, the couple moved into Inspirations together. Knowing they were about to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary, our team planned a surprise celebration complete with their favorite meal, champagne, and a cherished wedding photo. That special evening became a turning point, helping Fran feel connected and truly at home.Another resident, Frances, had written a 60 page autobiography about her life in England. Rather than letting that accomplishment sit quietly on a bookshelf, we invited the community to gather while she shared her story. It gave her the opportunity to celebrate her life, connect with others, and feel seen for the remarkable person she is.One of the things that makes Inspirations different is that our owners are regularly in the community, spending time with residents, families, and team members. Decisions aren’t made from a distant corporate office. If there’s a question, concern, or new idea, people can speak directly with the owners. That hands on involvement helps create a culture where everyone feels supported and where residents receive thoughtful, personal care.We also have extensive experience caring for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. Our secure community allows residents in the early and middle stages of memory loss to remain in a socially engaging assisted living environment while receiving the supervision, medication management, hydration support, and daily assistance they need. As needs change, families have peace of mind knowing their loved one can continue receiving compassionate care in a familiar setting.One trend we’ve noticed in recent years is that many families wait until a crisis, such as a fall or hospital stay, before exploring assisted living. While technology like cameras and home monitoring devices can provide reassurance, they can’t prevent accidents or provide the personal support that older adults often need. We encourage families to start the conversation sooner, giving their loved one the opportunity to enjoy the friendships, activities, and peace of mind that come with being part of a caring community before an emergency forces the decision.
