My husband Vic was at Mercy House for 7 weeks before his passing on December 29, 2024. I was very pleased with the care he received there. The CNA's were very kind to Vic and tried to help him with my suggestions to get him to eat. I feel this was a good environment for him as I could not take care of him at home when he was discharged from the hospital after a week's stay for a UTI and impaction. He was a wanderer and he was in a safe environment. With the help of Hospice I feel Vic received the care he needed in his last days of his journey with dementia. What do you like most about living here? Answer: The best thing was that my husband was in a safe environment . Are there enough caregivers to handle the residents' needs, especially during emergencies? Answer: Yes Are the common areas pleasant and comfortable for socializing or relaxing? Answer: Yes How would you rate the quality and variety of the meals? (1-5) Answer: 4 Are special diets handled well? Answer: Yes Is the dining schedule flexible enough to meet your preferences? Answer: Yes How do you feel about the level of social interaction available with other residents? Answer: There were other residents who Vic was able to interact with during his stay at Mercy House. How was the units offered in this community? Answer: A representative from Mercy House came to the hospital the day I was searching for a facility to place my husband. The literature she provided me was very easy to understand about the levels of care he would receive and the prices were very well presented. In such simple , clear information and with the smaller number of residents , it was exactly what I wanted for my husband . I am very pleased with the care he received !!!! Do you feel safe living in this community? Answer: Yes How well do you think the community handles emergencies or unexpected events? Answer: They called me any time they had a question about how to respond to his behavior . Are there any hidden fees or unexpected charges? Answer: None. Would you recommend this community to others looking for senior living options? Answer: I would very highly recommend Mercy House to others looking for a place for their loved ones when they are unable to return home. Is there anything you wish you knew before moving in? Answer: Not that I can think of . I was provided with with phone numbers of people I could contact by phone and text if I had a concern.
