Overview of The Keene Senior Center

The Keene Senior Center

The Keene Senior Center provides a variety of social, educational, and health-related classes and programs for adults age 50 and over. By offering collaborative, dynamic programs, and providing support and resources, The Center engages and encourages adults to live vibrant, healthy and socially engaged lives.

Each week, members enjoy a variety of classes including yoga, fitness, and dance, along with creative activities such as singing, jewelry-making, and card crafting. Popular games—like bridge, cribbage, and bingo—bring people together for fun and friendly competition. Special events throughout the year feature live music, educational presentations, guest speakers, and cultural events.

Founded in 1957, the Keene Senior Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving more than 400 members across Keene and the Monadnock region. Cheshire Village at Home is an affiliated Senior Center program that offers help with rides and household tasks to those age 50+.

Through all its programs and partnerships, the Center encourages adults to come together as individuals or in groups, for recreation, events and activities which support independence and encourage involvement in and with the community.
