The inspection was conducted to evaluate the facility's compliance with care plan updates, fall prevention protocols, behavioral health care, and medication management, including antibiotic stewardship.
Findings
The facility failed to update fall care plan interventions after each fall incident and did not update care plans for residents on prophylactic antibiotics. The facility also failed to provide psychiatric evaluation and behavioral management interventions for a resident with delusions. Additionally, the facility did not adequately monitor antibiotic use without proper indication and delayed reporting of a fall incident requiring hospitalization.
