The Health Code deficiencies cited included issues related to food handling and preparation, such as procuring food from acceptable sources, maintaining proper freezer and refrigerator temperatures, and ensuring effective hair restraints were worn by staff. Additionally, the facility was found to have failed to conduct required fire drills, document fire drills on the required form, and obtain an inspection by the fire marshal every year. The facility also had issues with resident care, including providing a safe and decent living environment and posting an HHSC sign for complaint filing. Furthermore, the emergency preparedness and response plan was found to be inadequate in addressing core functions of emergency management.
