Overview of At Ease Home Care

At Ease Home Care is a non-medical home care and respite care agency located at 200 E Campus View Blvd Suite 200 in Columbus, Ohio 43235, managed by co-founder Sara Jenkins. The agency is not CMS-certified and does not directly bill Medicare or Medicaid; clients eligible for Ohio’s PASSPORT Waiver, Home Care Program, or other state-funded programs should confirm the agency’s participation and billing procedures before enrolling.

The agency offers live-in care, personal hygiene assistance, companion care, mobility and transfer help, veterans care, and homemaking services delivered in clients’ homes. Therapy and rehabilitation services are listed but with no public detail on staff credentials or clinical scope. Service delivery is tailored to individual need, according to the agency’s description, with emphasis on personalized care plans respecting client autonomy and dignity.

The neighborhood offers limited walkability (Walk Score 35), with most errands requiring vehicle travel. The agency is 15.1 miles from downtown Columbus and 3.41 miles from Mount Carmel St. Ann’s hospital. Office location and hours are not publicly disclosed.

Staff qualifications, certifications, background screening, bonding and liability insurance, emergency protocols, supervision ratios, and staff training information for At Ease Home Care are not publicly available. A published review from a self-identified female Vietnam-era veteran documents serious operational concerns: multiple caregiver no-shows, staff reassignment that left the client without consistent care despite unmet needs, and reported disrespect from a manager. The reviewer states caregivers were shifted to serve other clients before replacement caregivers were provided and expresses concern about the quality of some caregivers assigned. This account, while from a single client, identifies material service and management reliability issues that warrant direct verification.

Regulatory and inspection history with the Ohio Department of Health are not disclosed. The agency does not participate in state or federal certification frameworks that would generate accessible performance records or complaint data.

Families should verify staff credentials, background screening, liability coverage, emergency response protocols, supervision structure, training, and service consistency track record.

At Ease Home Care Reviews

Mary E Reilly
I am a female veteran who served during Vietnam era. I have had many, many many times that my caregivers did not show due to a plethora of excuses. I have been shuffled caregivers like my home or I do not matter. Mark has been disrespectful and tried to flip the script on me. He takes my caregiver and gives them freely to others when my need is not met. Unless you want a high rate of excuses I would NOT RECOMMEND THEIR SERVICES. I have one good caregiver and he shifts her constantly to service others before I am even given a new caregiver. They have sent some very "strange" people to my home as well. YOU DESERVE BETTER THAN THIS.
